I have, additionally, done another conference paper about Canadian poetry concerning Simone Weil: "What is not self: Jan Zwicky, Simone Weil and the Resonance of Decreation." I presented the paper at a the joint session of the Association of Canadian College and University Teachers of English and the Canadian Philosophical Association during Congress 2011 in Fredericton, NB.Tanis MacDonaldhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16776253939417977351noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2260111358786097066.post-77264750266236406102011-05-03T12:54:57.774-07:002011-05-03T12:54:57.774-07:00Milena, Sorry for the very long delay in respondi...Milena, Sorry for the very long delay in responding to this. We have been focusing on works about Simone rather than translations of her works, but there is definitely a need here and we have been noting works which contain editions of her texts. For this work, "La condition ouvrière", though a search of the database Index Translationum (UNESCO's international bibliography of translations) and Worldcat I have located translations of this text in German, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Serbo-Croation, Chinese and Japanese BUT NOT English!!

SaundraSaundra Liptonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08354677608134538221noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2260111358786097066.post-53005799512608859082010-11-29T02:35:34.553-08:002010-11-29T02:35:34.553-08:00Good Morning,

It truly made my week to see that my year of research didn't go TOTALLY unrecognized! This would have been a great help several years ago, but I am encouraged to see the growing academic interest in Weil. Her thought was very formative for me, and if there is any way I can be of any help in this project, please let me know!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06378134494245277404noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2260111358786097066.post-76159776754537108162009-02-07T02:19:00.000-08:002009-02-07T02:19:00.000-08:00Just found your blog, glad it exists, will follow ...Just found your blog, glad it exists, will follow it.D K Levyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01977742707396098890noreply@blogger.com
